Sometimes technology completely changes the status quo. This is what Sony just did for photography by replacing the rolling shutter of one of their camera by what they call a global shutter. It will solve many visual artefacts affecting cameras with rolling shutters, it will allow incredibly fast captures and flash sync at any speed…
The world of photography will never be the same… Of course, like anything new, this is not cheap, but one it will be… in the meantime, we can all marvel at this achievement that some call the best thing since the invention of the digital camera!
